    Power2SME , TiE Delhi NCR announce 5 winners for 'Spirit of Manufacturing Awards 2017'

    Celebrating this very zeal to make in India, Power2SME in collaboration with TiE Delhi-NCR held the Spirit of Manufacturing awards on Friday at the annual TiE Con event.

    If things are to be believed, Indian manufacturing is all set to not just bring laurels to the nation, but also setting inspirational international standards for themselves. Celebrating this very zeal to make in India, Power2SME in collaboration with TiE Delhi-NCR held the Spirit of Manufacturing awards on Friday at the annual TiE Con event.

    Held in New Delhi, the chief guest for the event was Hansraj Ahir, MoS, Ministry of Home Affairs. He mentioned, "There is no dearth of talent in the country. More employment by way of industries is the way forward. We have the raw materials and resources in the country. Without much ado we need to utilise them now."

    The joint initiative (Spirit of Manufacturing) is dedicated to felicitating the most enterprising entrepreneurs in the manufacturing industry and is designed to re-iterate the importance of the manufacturing sector and the role that 'innovation', plays, in this space.

    The awards given were primarily distributed in the following five categories
    Innovation and IT adoption - Dr Vibha Tripathi, CEO, Swajal Water
    Social Impact - Parth Dave, Co-founders, COO, Frolitic Energy Solutions
    Woman Entrepreneur of the Year - Sonal, Founder and Director, Compassionate Choice
    Young Entrepreneur of the Year - Prasoon Gupta, CEO, Sattviko Lifestyle
    Special Jury Award: Ankit Mehta, CEO, ideaForge Technology


    Speaking at the event, Rakesh Malhotra, Founder, SAR Group and Luminous Industries said, "Manufacturing was not in fashion earlier, but it seems that notions about it in the eco-system is going to change. I encourage young enthusiastic entrepreneurs to embark on this journey and cherish the same. The real fun is in completing a fulfilling journey."

    "The emergence of startups, largely in service sector has swept India for over decade. With the wave of 'Make in India' and other government campaigns supporting young manufacturers, India has a bright future for entrepreneurs in manufacturing sector. The glimpse of same we witnessed today at the fourth season of Spirit of Manufacturing Awards," R Narayan, Founder and CEO, Power2SME said in a statement.

    There were 800 applicants for the awards this year.

    With Pre-screening of all online applications for each category, followed by assessment of only selected application, the final list of top 13 contestants was generated. The selection of final winners was announced basis their presentation in front of team of Jury members.

    The Jury evaluated each presentation on the basis of the Execution Strategy, Competitive Advantage, Management Depth, sales & Marketing Strategy and the Financial Viability. Towards the end of presentations, the scores were tabulated to announce the winners from each category.
