Monforts is set to present its advanced textile coating and finishing technologies at Techtextil North America, taking place May 6–8, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. The company will be represented at stand 3231 as part of the VDMA German Pavilion, alongside its U.S. partner, PSP Marketing.

The spotlight will be on MontexCoat, an adaptable coating unit integrated with Montex stenters, which enables the production of diverse technical fabrics — including tents, blackout blinds, sailcloths, medical disposables, and automotive textiles. The system supports multiple techniques, from PVC coatings and pigment dyeing to knife, roller, and screen printing — all while optimizing energy and material use.

Monforts’ ATC facility in Mönchengladbach, Germany, houses a full MontexCoat pilot line. This setup allows industrial-scale trials and can handle fabrics up to 1.8 meters wide, reaching temperatures of 320°C, and even applying dual-sided coatings at different heat settings.

According to Achim Gesser, Area Sales Manager at Monforts, the line’s TwinTherm burners provide precise top/bottom temperature control, ideal for dual-surface materials like floor coverings and PTFE-coated filters. The stretching unit and T-max grease-free stenter chain further enhance durability, speed, and fabric integrity — especially for high-performance applications like airbags, geotextiles, and flame-retardant barriers.

With a strong customer base across home textiles, automotive, and functional fabrics, Monforts continues to support textile producers aiming for top-tier finishing standards. Gesser adds, “Techtextil NA is a cornerstone event for us — a great platform to engage with U.S. manufacturers and introduce them to our latest innovations in technical textiles.”
